Hyrax Hill Prehistoric Site
A lava ridge on the edge of Nakuru, named after its rock hyraxes, with traces of people from three ages: stone burial mounds some 5,000 years old, Sirikwa cattle pens, and two bao game boards carved into the rock.
Mary Leakey excavated here in 1937–38. From the hilltop you look out over Lake Nakuru, and the small museum keeps a tortoise pen.
